Watching the Writer Blossom

Hello all.  This is my little secret corner on the web where I will be posting my creative writing.

I started writing early in my childhood.  During recess I would sit under a tree and write about young girls and trivial youthful dilemas.  I always remained extremely focused on music and never paid much attention to my writing skills.  In high school, many of my teachers chose to ingore my talents because my creative writing didn't fit into the mold KERA structured.  It wasn't until my senior year that one of my teachers encouraged my writing, and as a surprise on senior award night, I recieved a Creative Writing Award from the Lexington Women's League. By submitting some of my stories, Mrs. Livingston opened my own eyes to my potential.

Then came college, and everything with it. Suddenly, all the time I had to write creatively slipped away and all inspiration was lost to me. It's only been this recent semester that I have picked up my pen again, and I'm pleased with what I have written so far.  I've had a rush of inspiration with my classes this semester. My influences revolve around my Kentucky literature class.  Deep down inside me, Kentucky is my home, and so far my characters have come out of the Commonwealth to reflect the good and the bad.

So, here I will post stories as I complete them.  I give you permission to print these stories and if you think someone may like one of my stories, please pass the link on, or print it off for them.  All I ask is that I get due credit for my work, do not claim any other authorship.  I also ask that you do not plagiarize my work.  Both of the following stories have been submitted for publication and should be in print fairly soon.
